Willi Burger si esibisce abitualmemte come ospite in un organico orchestrale o come solista con accompagnamento di pianoforte. Ha all'attivo 4 album l'ultimo dei quali è un recente CD per AGORA' dal titolo FRENCH COMPOSITIONS. Il suo repertorio varia dagli autori classici ai moderni,includendo anche brani originali per armonica di compositori di fama mondiale(Vaughan Williams, Rodrigo, Whettam, Benjamin, Arnold, Milhaud, Villa Lobos, Jacob, Chailly). Hanno composto per lui: Abbado, Reverberi, Teodori, Bandel, Coggiola, Cattaneo, Negro, Alvares, Romero. Il 23 febbraio 2003 con l'Orchestra 'La piccola Sinfonica di Milano' ha eseguito un Concerto al Quirinale (trasmesso dalla Rai in diretta radiofonica europea).

Born in Milano, Willi Burger began studying chromatic harmonica and classical music in Germany. Back in Italy, he studied in depth every technical and expressive details concerning the chromatic harmonica and took part to many International Competition where he met the most important soloists of this instrument such as John Sebastian, Larry Adler, Tommy Reilly. In 1955 he was invited by the Federation international de l’Harmonica to partecipate at the Winterthur's Competition where he won the first prize unanimously. Thereafter, he performed throughout Europe with great acclaim. He performed with A.Ballista, E.Muller, D.Anzoghi as a duo act and was a featured soloist in the Orchestra Sinfonica of Lubiana, the Filarmonica Slovena, the Orchestra of Munich Radio, the Piccola Sinfonica of Milano, the Orchestra Filarmonica of Torino and the Cameristi of Genova. In 1989 he was the featured solist of the New Year Concert performed by the Simfonicni Orkester Slovenske Filharmonije. In the musical season 1996/97 he played in the Sala Verdi of the Conservatorio of Milano and in the following season, 1997/98, in the Sala Grande of the Conservatorio of Torino. Willi Burger has recorded two LP's (Harmonica, 1986 and Harmonica impressions, 1988) released by the Zurich based Active Record which are distributed in Swiss, Germany, Norway, Belgium, Holland, Luxemburg, Finland, etc. His songbook includes classic and modern authors as well as original pieces for chromatic harmonica.
